TodayCorp expands McDonald’s eLearning brand to Singapore.

In a deal that indicates the movement of Australian companies leading the world in innovative online solutions, TodayCorp’s award winning 'Versity’ platform was recently selected by McDonald’s Singapore who will pilot the unique online recruitment, learning and communications solution.

From late last year, McDonald’s Singapore launched the Versity solution known as 'metime’ in the Eastern Zone of Singapore. The online portal enables potential employees to be assessed, invited for interview and receive an online orientation program, before they even step into the restaurant.

McDonald’s Singapore decided to pilot metime after seeing its outstanding success for McDonald’s Australia and are aiming to replicate cost efficiencies that have been gained through reduced recruitment advertising costs, administration and induction time.

Once on board, McDonald’s employees can continue to access metime to keep informed of promotions and products and continue their development through online learning and communications modules.

Developed using TodayCorp’s Versity platform, metime integrates with McDonald’s restaurants existing training program and provides a unique platform upon which to build the McDonald’s 'e-people’ solution.

Director of Human Resource and Development for the McDonald’s Restaurants in Singapore, Eunice Lee states "Training and development are critical elements to our success. Through metime, we hope to efficiently attract and retain employees who want to grow with the company."

eLearning is proving to be a powerful tool for McDonald’s as not only does it appeal to young people because they enjoy using the internet, but it delivers a totally personalised platform enabling them to see the information they need at their pace. Restaurant managers can also access information which tells them how their crew are scoring and helps them to identify weak spots, particularly around a specific promotion that might be running.

The CEO of TodayCorp, Mr. Joe Ward, says that for TodayCorp; reaching this important global milestone was a true testament to Versity’s success and solid track record.

"Seeing a company like McDonald’s use it to such success showcases the efficiencies it delivers to people and the bottom line," he says. In addition to McDonald’s Australia and Singapore, TodayCorp are in discussion to roll out metime in other global markets, each with their own country customised platforms.
